If you’re looking for a function room to host your event, then look no further. We have a perfect room that can be tailored to suit your needs.

FAQs

What’s the room’s capacity? The capacity of the space can go up to 75, all of the furniture in the space can be moved to suit your group’s needs.

What’s the room hire fee? The space comes with no hire fee! All we require is a card authentication of £150 to act as your deposit (this is not deducted from your account when completed). This also comes with a minimum spend tailored to your group size, based on final numbers. We reserve the right to claim any part of the £150 for failure to arrive for the booking, or for any damages caused.

When do I need to pay the deposit by? The latest we’d need to receive payment for the deposit is 1 week prior. However, we operate on a first come first serve basis to confirm a booking. Ideally at your earliest convenience, to avoid any disappointment!

What’s your cancellation policy? We’d require no less than 10 days notice prior to your booking, to avoid any forfeit of your deposit.

What’s your under 18’s policy? The curfew in the main pub for all under 18’s is 7pm, set in place by the local licensing police. We can stretch this to 9pm for the function room, as long as the child remains upstairs under supervision.

Do we need to bring ID? As a site, we operate a ‘Challenge 25’ Policy. If you are lucky enough to look 25 or under, you will be asked to prove you are aged 18 or over. We cannot accept pictures of ID.

Are you dog friendly? We welcome all well behaved dogs here at The Freemasons!

Can we dress up? As a site, we welcome fancy dress in good taste. Please get in touch to confirm if we can accommodate the proposed dress code.

When can we have the space from? And when to? You can have the space as early as you require, to set up & decorate. The space will be available to until 20-30 mins before the venue closes, where the party would ideally begin to wind down. The site’s closing time is at the manager’s discretion.

Can we decorate the space? Feel free to decorate the space however you wish, go wild! All we ask is refrain from using any Sellotape to save the paintwork, and no confetti.

Can we play our own music? You can connect a device to the floor’s sound system, separate from pub’s music. All you need is a device which has a headphone slot, or a lightning/usb-c adapter for your preferred device.

Can we book entertainment? We’ve had plenty of live music acts & DJs previously, this works really well for the space! The only thing to consider is a sound limitation, required by local licensing police, past 11pm.

Can you provide catering? We have the brilliant franchise ‘Bunny’ on-site that can provide bespoke catering for your group, get in touch and we can help arrange this for you.

Is there a bar upstairs? The bar upstairs is finally in action! More of a ‘fast bar’ for various bottled products, wines, house spirits & mixers to save the trip downstairs. There is a fee of £100 to hire this for your booking.
